Here they are: Elite Eight picks
MIDWEST REGIONAL FINAL
No. 1 Florida vs. No. 3 Oregon
Time: 2:40 p.m.
Place: St. Louis
Oregon is the little team in this game, with the little guy on the court: Tajuan Porter is just 5-foot-6, but he has connected on a school record 108 3-pointers as the Ducks try to continue their surprising run. Is Florida vulnerable? The Gators looked it in the Sweet 16 against Butler, but then again, what No. 1 seed didn’t have a scare in this tournament? It is hard to imagine the defending champs losing this close to a return trip to the Final Four.
Bracket Boy says: Duck. Duck. Totally goosed. Pick: Florida.
EAST REGIONAL FINAL
No. 1 North Carolina vs. No. 2 Georgetown
Time: 5:05 p.m.
Place: East Rutherford
History, schmistory. So these teams played a great game 25 years ago? That might be a nice storyline, but it has no bearing on the result tonight. Food for thought for the Hoyas: North Carolina won against Southern Cal in the Sweet 16 despite a 16-point, second-half deficit and a complete no-show by their All-American forward Tyler Hansbrough. How many teams could survive that? Exactly one.
Bracket Boy says: Roy Williams is a genius - the Carolina strategy in the Southern Cal game of deliberately missing shots to get an offensive rebound and a dunk is unconventional, to say the least (cough, cough). Pick: North Carolina.

1 year, 9 months agowow. That is some tough talk aimed towards our Bracket Buddy. An unfortunately, it backfired. BB and BG appear to be on their way to bracketology nirvana - a final four alive and kicking on weekend 3.

1 year, 9 months agoIn about 90 minutes, BB & I will be sworn enemies talking through a website. Now, I am not going to trash talk with BB right now, but I am going to state reasons why I am confident (to a small extent) that Oregon will defeat Florida at 2:40 P.M. today:
Last year. Florida. #3 seed in the NCAA tournament in the toughest bracket. Defeats BB's National Champion pick Villanova in the Elite Eight on it's way to the Final Four, and eventually a National Championship over UCLA. Oregon, is a #3 seed in the exact same situation.
Records. #3 seed vs. #1 history. In the Elite Eight, when these 2 seeds have played, #3 has won 54% of the matchups. When #3 ever plays #1, #3 has won 58%.
Oregon won the First National Championship over OHIO STATE in 1939. History shall repeat in my opinion.
Go Oregon!!!!!!! Florida is the Bum State, like where BB will go when BG tells him to get the Hell out of her house so she can get a new man. Thanx for reading.

1 year, 9 months agough. Obnoxious Gator fans in Atlanta. That's all we need, with that stupid 'jaws' rip-off song and the chomping arms. Please Brack, pick Oregon. You are doing so well, maybe you could will the upset and save us from the gator fan. I am sure B-Girl does not need obnoxious gator guys hitting on her the entire weekend.
