Rock chalk: Congratulations to the NCAA champion Kansas Jayhawks, a title well deserved.
The World's best Bracketologst.

Maybe it's time for a new post

Well, now that people are, uh, getting chatty, I figured this was a good time to throw some logs on the fire with today's action.

How about Colorado State! The Rams failed to win a conference game all season, and then went out and upset Wyoming in the first round of the Mountain West tournament. That's the kind of goofy stuff that just tickles BB. Tickles!

No surprise in the afternoon game here at the Garden, which means we might get one tonight. It wouldn't shock me if either lower seed, Cincinnati or Seton Hall, pulls off the upset tonight. Seton Hall has played up (and down) to the level of competition this season, while Cincinnati has improved defensively and on the boards this year.

Oh, and the night-time action picks up in other conferences, too, the Pac-10, the ACC, the A-10 ... and who could forget the NEC Final between Mount St. Mary's and Sacred Heart. Or the Big Sky Final, between Portland State and Northern Arizona. Not BB.

Anyway, discuss. I know you will.

Well this game between SHU and Marquette is a bit closer at the half than I expected. SHU is playing like a team with nothing to lose and sometimes those teams are dangerous

I'll take UConn but in a game that will be closer than anyone thinks!

Watching Pitt I can't help but wonder what Pitt would've been capable of this year if Levance Fields didn't get hurt

Brat, to add to my post, Ron Lewis singlehandedly saved our Lord of the Bracket's Bracket and my Bracket last year

Well Bracket Brat, the answer is three. Greg Oden, Dequan Cook, and Mike Connelly Jr.

Brat, all I know is Ron Lewis was on that Ohio State team and he is receiving my vote for President after one of the most memorable shots in the history of the NCAA tourney last year. I've been watching that on YouTube...over and over and over again...I also recommend "YouTubing" the term One Shining Moment, it will give you the end of tournament "One Shining Moment" videos from the last 10 or so years of the tourney

I don't see SHU being able to beat Marquette. I think James & McNeal will dominate SHU. As for the Big East I don't think the conference is as strong as it has been in years past. G'Town is not as good as last year, though they are probably the best of the Big East teams, L'Ville has talent but I'm not sold on them. UConn was much better in the 2nd half of the year but they don't have a "clutch" player.

So, Bracket Boy, how many NBA players were on the runner-up Ohio State team?

I'm really not familiar with the Big East guys, so I could use some help figuring out who has potential. What do you guys think about the Big East teams in the dance, and why?
