Georgetown looks good ... BUT
Georgetown has the best true center in the country in Roy Hibbert, even if he was scoreless in the first half today. They have a senior point guard in Jonathan Wallace who is probably one of the most clutch players in the country. They have a great coach who gives them a defense-first style, which means in a halfcourt game -- and most national championships are won in the halfcourt -- they'll have a chance to beat anybody with equal or more talent.
So here is the question for you loyal Broggers to contemplate: Why am I not convinced that the Hoyas will return to the Final Four.
The turnovers are troubling. The tendency to hit scoring droughts is, too -- although that hardly seems to be a problem against Villanova today. The Wildcats are not making a grand statement about getting off the bubble, although ESPN sure has done its part by showing the final minutes of that regular-season loss where the refs gift-wrapped the Hoyas a victory against Nova. Maybe that's part of it, too. There are a couple of games like that where the Hoyas got a huge break. Karma has to catch up with them, right?
ANYWAY ... I'm rambling. Let's here from the panel.

9 months, 4 weeks agoDigger said this last night, and I agree with him 100 percent that if Georgetown is going to win the NCAA Tournament, he has to shoot the ball 16 times per game at least (not touch, actually shoot). They did fine without him being a factor in the first half, but it was Villanova, not North Carolina or UCLA.
