Final Four Preview and Random Notes
...the big point made was that teams with really no chance of winning that first round game could have a better chance of continuing their season in another tournament. It may not hurt to try this a time or two to see. I bet it would work better than most might...

Memphis Hopes to Light Up UCLA
4 months, 3 weeks agoHe reminds me of Jason Kidd. He has a Jason Kidd-type body, he's so strong and physical ... He defends like Kidd and he's a much better shooter at the same stage. I can't think of higher praise because I love Kidd.

For Final Four schools, trip can be a costly game
4 months, 3 weeks agoAtlanta had a hotel glut after the [1996] Olympics ... So many of our fans got good rates at hotels near the Georgia Dome. Instead of paying $159 a night out at the airport, 30 minutes from downtown, they were paying $99 a night to be right in the middle of the action. We were at a competitive disadvantage, and ended up paying for a lot of hotel rooms we didn't use.
