Kansas' time arrives: Championship was years in the making
To me, losing the first round (in 2006) prepared them to win the national championship because I really believe everything that happens in basketball or coaching, you can spin that to help you ... It created toughness. It created a lot of things. We weren't ready to win a national championship last year. That loss to UCLA prepared us for this year and gave us incentive and motivation.
